The LeidCEu Outbound Scholarship Programme

Aim

The scholarship programme intends to further strengthen the academic ties with the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.

For whom?

Scholarships are available for both Leiden University students and academic staff who would like to study, do research or teach, at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.



Bachelor's, Master's and PhD students

A. Study or research

Leiden University bachelor's, master's and PhD students are offered the opportunity to study or do research for 1-2 semesters at the Central European University in Budapest with a study grant from the LeidCEu scholarships programme.

Scholarships
Scholarships are considered to be a contribution towards the total cost of the study abroad period, and consist of:

a) tuition fees
b) travel costs
c) a monthly stipend
d) for non-EU/EER students, the cost of visa/residence permits will be reimbursed.

B. Participation in the yearly graduate conference in Social Sciences

Additional possibilities are available for master's/PhD students actively participating at the post-graduate conference at the CEU by presenting a paper, relevant to their study.

This scholarship amount will be decided upon annually.

Academic Staff

The programme offers some financial support to Leiden University academic staff, delivering guest lectures or doing research at the CEU.
