Programme Outline
Experts on university ranking will contribute to answering the main question of the symposium: how should universities respond to ranking? These speakers will participate in three sessions, all three of them covering a part of main question.
The three sessions will address the following issues:

Views and Opinions on Ranking and International Positioning

Building a World Class University/Responding to the Ranking Challenges
Friday 2 February 2007 The basic format of the symposium will be an update on the ranking systems as one plenary session (morning). Friday afternoon session will discuss the views and opinions on how to respond to ranking and impact of ranking on positioning.
Saturday 3 February 2007
The Saturday morning session will be presented by a number of university presidents from renowned universities how they intend to further develop and future-proof their universities. Full programme
