On your first day or soon thereafter, your supervisor, or another staff member, will show you around at the institute where you will be working. However, besides job orientation, there are a number of other issues that you need to attend to immediately after arrival if you are employed by or are a guest at Leiden University. These include:

• the application for your residence permit (non EU/EEA citizens only)
• registration at Town Hall
• setting up a Dutch bank account
• application for a BSN / tax / sofi number

Please visit your Human Resource department immediately after arrival to fill out all the necessary forms.
