The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)
The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) are demand-driven fellowship programmes designed to promote capacity building within organizations in 61 developing countries by providing training and education to their mid-career staff members.

| General requirements and application date | Deadlines may vary, please consult the Netherlands Embassy, Consulate or local Nuffic Neso office in your country well in advance for specific instructions. Enquiries and information about specific local procedures and deadlines, requirements and selection criteria should also be directed to the embassy, consulate or Neso office. Local procedures may differ from the general information provided on Nuffic’s website or in the brochures. |
| Application fee | If you are applying for an NFP scholarship for a Short course or a Master’s programme you are not required to pay the €100 application fee. However, we do need to receive evidence that you are intending to apply for the NFP scholarship. The evidence should be a support letter from your employer with your online application. The letter can also be used for your actual application. |

| PHD programma Earning a PhD at Leiden takes about four years of study and consists of independent and original research under the supervision of a professor. For information about admission procedures, deadlines and finding a supervisor, please contact the relevant Graduate School directly. |
Important notes
Note 1 : Please ensure that you have submitted a complete application by 1 September 2009 for the February 2010 intake or by 1 December 2009 for the September 2010 intake.
Note 2: When applying to Leiden University after the deadline you can still apply for an NFP scholarship. However Leiden University can not guarantee that your file will be reviewed in time to meet the NFP deadline of your embassy.
